Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jun 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

In the large European community we have to keep improving and enhancing our knowledge. The methodology of teaching has become different and offers a lot of opportunities. Our organization strives towards acquiring skills and competences of the staff in order to perform quality education and be one step in front of students. The knowledge and experience that will be acquired by participating in the Project are valuable for the process of education, and the teachers as educators. Participating in the Project will offer many possibilities for implementing new methods of teaching, communicating, realization of curricula and benefits over the teachers and students as well. The objectives of the Project: -implementation of International Baccalaureate -work with talented students -training for ICT -skills, communication, linguistic and leadership skills of staff -cooperation with other educational institutions We have been exploring the opportunities which Training Institutions offer and that would help us meet the identified needs. The providers of courses with the programmes they offer (the Cavilam alliance in France, Larkhill language centre in UK, ETI and Landstede institution in Malta, and the European Schoolnet training programme) would give us the necessary knowledge and competences to meet the objectives. We would become a European school with exquisite teachers that would know more about the internationalism, language and culture diversity, ICT -skills and would contribute to the process of education through the eTwinning net. The number of participants is 14, and they are all well qualified, highly-motivated teachers in different areas. The description of activities is the following: analysis of the needs and priorities, establishing a plan and curricula for preparatory activities regarding the linguistic competences in English and ICT -skills; active participation in the training courses in terms of motivation and willingness for improving skills and competences, as well as readiness for sharing their already acquired knowledge in their field of work among students and other teachers as well; disseminations, making Personal Development Plans, self-evaluation and analyses of the achieved results and effects; The projects will be carried out by mutual participation and cooperation of different teams with certain delegations and tasks. The impact over the participants and the participating organization are the following: greater experience and knowledge, and acquiring additional competences which would influence the educational process in our school; cross border cooperation with colleagues from other countries; enhancement of the knowledge of English; positive opinion about EU and its values; self-promotion and increased reputation among the schools in the region; greater contribution in meeting the identified needs (ICT, International baccalaureate and high potential students' needs); the quality of the educational process and the average results of the students would improve, thus we would be ranked on a higher position among the secondary schools in the country; management skills would be improved; the organization would be a more dynamic, modern and professional environment; the municipality would be informed about the effects and they would intensify their interest for this type of activities in future. We are thankful for the opportunity you offer to schools and we would be more than grateful if you grant our organization to be part of the Erasmus Programme. The benefits would certainly be immense.
