Elaboration of a sustainable water management infrastructure in the Hungarian-Romanian Cross-border Region (ESUWATER)

The project\'s general objective is the improvement of Hungarian-Romanian cross-border water management infrastructure, the specific objective being the increase of water supply and protection conditions in the cross-border region. The project activities are: the project management, communication, public procurement and investment works. The target groups are the involved partner organisations and their professional expert team members and employees, as well as the main water consumer target areas in the Hungarian-Romanian cross-border region, and also the local population, land farmers, agricultural workers, local communities and related economic sectors. The main expected results of the project are the constructed water reservoir, water restraining object with pumping station and local rainwater pipeline system. The water reservoir will be constructed on the Halászkai sub-channel between the 1+252 - 1+992 segments. The occupied territory by the water reservoir will be around 14,2 hectares, having an useful volume of 61 594 m3. The Hungarian Project Partner 1 also will construct a water restraining object and pumping station on the Cigányka-stream main channel 4+090 segment. At the Romanian Project Partner 2, Local Government of Jimbolia the local rainwater pipeline system will be constructed in the N. Balcescu, Recoltei, Bucegi, Th. Aman, Salcamilor, Aleea Cito, Grozavescu, Grivitei and Porumbeilor streets.
