Tiszakóród Municipality and representatives of Szamoshát sub-region jointlyelaborated the development concept of Hungarian-Romanian cross-border subregionswithin the framework of project meetings. In the first step, they reviewedthe major events of status analysis by presenting the local characteristics, the residentialnetwork, economic, social and welfare specificities of the sub-regions. The major findingswere summarised in a SWOT analysis, a problem and target tree was designed for thesub-regions, the common features were identified, the most important guidelinesof a strategy were laid down, and project proposals were also assigned to them. The‘Tempting Szamoshát’ Complex Sub-regional Development Programme was selectedon the basis of the development concepts. A new common development concept hasbeen elaborated within the framework of this programme for the period of 2007-2013.
