Technological developments have brought about big changes in the way learning is achieved. Teachers face new challenges in education and for this reason they should be flexible and adaptable to a world that is changing rapidly. Typical examples are the smart phones (smartphones) and tablets (tablets) which constantly have increasing intelligence and power: They have built-in sensors, advanced audiovisual interfaces and support programming devices and offer individualized interaction and interaction with the user anytime and anywhere. These technologies have changed the concept of learning. Through mobile and ubiquitous learning, learning can take place anywhere and anytime and communication between students and instructors can expand further. Based on this reality, our organization completed successfully the activity “Future Education with iPads and Tablets”. The proposed project involved seven (7) teachers of the 1st EPAL Kalambaka from different education sectors. The project was implemented through two different flows in Graz, Austria and Finland Helsinki. The training was achieved through two specialized and structured courses (5 working days) on the use of tablets and smartphones as tools in the learning process. The major goals of our project included: • the theoretical approach to the use of ICT in education • the discovery of new education technologies using the tablets and how they affect teaching and learning • the exchange of experience and best practices using educational ICT tools such as tablets devices, Ipads The major results of the project are: • improving the professional and scientific level of the participants • the use of ipads / tablets devices in the educational process of our school. • improved social skills through living and interacting in a foreign, multicultural environment. • τhe study of the educational system of the host country and the way it supports innovation in education • the awareness of the necessity of lifelong learning. • improving the language skills of the participants The acquired knowledge and experience helped us to optimize the level of education offered by our institution. We developed new skills which give us the opportunity to provide a more personalized and comprehensive education to the target group of our project, the students. We developed educational scenarios using tablets for various education fields of the curriculum of our school (eg Mathematics, Informatics, Languages). These scenarios were applied to the learning process and received great acceptance by students.
