Start date: Sep 1, 2016, End date: Dec 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project has arisen from the need of protection of the environment and to create good living conditions for the inhabitants of the Moravian-Silesian region. The design and construction of an efficient bioclimatic house using solar radiation will contribute to the reduction of CO2 emission. Thirty two students from the second, third and fourth year of studies will participate in the project, those who have really concerned with civil engineering. Excellent study results evaluated by the teachers of Structural engineering and English language will be the criteria of choice. The objective of the project is to acquire the unit of learning outcomes based on the ECVET principles and its verification during the internship in the SAFA vocational school in Sevilla, Spain. The students will practise under the supervision of the qualified tutor in the form of practical sessions as individual work. The students will acquire the ability to work with AutoCAD programme and design the bioclimatic house by creating interior walls and insulation layers, interior walls and housing facilities, forged parts for a green cover and bioclimatic elements in 3D. The interns will have the unique opportunity to perform advanced tasks which will be of their significant benefit to the design of passive houses. The main object is not only the first-rate preparation of the students in theory but especially in practice, therefore making our society benefit from the skilled builders. The trainees will improve their English language skills as the training will be carried out in English. They will also acquire Spanish job related vocabulary and basic expressions. They will gain higher self-esteem as they will improve the ability to decide and work on their own and in a group. They will realize different cultural environment which will increase their multicultural awareness and appreciation of European Union values. Raising the awareness of the importance of using solar radiation in building passive houses in Moravian-Silesian region means an important issue in terms of ecology and improvement of the environment in this region. The rules of bioclimatic architecture should decide a great deal when designing a house.
