Project title is "Improvement of European Project Planning and Management Skills". Current project contributes to the priority area "School work organization, management and quality assurance" in meeting these challenges in Saldus 1.vidusskola (Saldus Secondary School No.1). Project management skills are an integral part of management skills that ideally every teacher should master. Most of success in teaching and learning process depends on how good the Teacher is as a Manager. Project management knowledge and skills, looking more broadly, are useful not only for school management staff and Project Managers, project management elements can be included in Teacher’s everyday practice in their classrooms. Mobility intends to involve two project management major topics within two years of European mobility - international (EU) project planning and project management. The aim is that at least two persons during the two years will acquire modern project management knowledge and skills, which would contribute in to the improvement of the organizational and management quality of the school. Two persons will take par in the Mobility (international seminars will take place in Florence, Italy). Knowledge gained and lessons learned will be shared on school teaching and support staff. Thus, all of the school teaching staff become project’s indirect target group. In a broader sense this mobility project will benefit all students in Saldus 1.vidusskola. In the future, implemented projects will be the indicator of sustainability of current European Mobility project.
