This project "Insights" has as background living, working and culture in rural areas. More and more young people from rural areas migrate to urban areas because of better infrastructure, education and work. So the rural municipals lose more and more inhabitants. The exchange of 15 young Latvians from rural areas with 15 young Austrians has to extend their perspectives. This young people are in a very critical age, were they have to decide where they want to live and what they want to work. Both sides should have insights into the other live style. With the experience exchange, visits of regional companies and the living in host families, the perspectives should grow. In the workshops the young participants will work out strengths, weaknesses and chances of the rural areas. In smaller groups they will work out projects, which should be realized in the future. The presentation of the results and also of the culture of the latvian participants should be at the cultural event "Kirtag&Nach" were many hundreds of visitors will be. The goal of this exchange should be that the participants create innovative projects, which will be realized in our region. They should also gain skills in order to manage important decisions of their live. The participants of these two countries should also create a long friendship. It is also planned, that the austrian participants will visit Latvia in 2015.
