Ein Jahr interkulturelle Begegnungen mit dem Rasselbande e.V.
Start date: Jun 1, 2016, End date: Sep 30, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Rasselbande e.V is a charitable non-profit organization in the youth welfare sector. It has been recognized and active as such an association for 17 years. In close collaboration with our partnering associations from France and Morocco, called Les Petits Debrouillards, we are contributing to the design of society and help to find solutions to the sociopolitical problems by conducting various national and international projects. Since 2014 we are working on the subject of “climate“. We accompanied and organized numerous, very interesting and international projects in preparation of the participation at the COP21 /UN Climate summit in Paris and plan to do so for the COP 22 in Marrakesh. In 2016 these projects and collaborations will be continued and our thematic emphasis for working with children youths will again be on “climate”. Our goal is to promote the development of values and behaviors that facilitate a peaceful, non-violent as well as autonomous and co-determined coexistence, through concrete encounters. In addition, through our projects from different regions and countries, we want to promote the mediation of constructive conflict resolution strategies to achieve self – and social-competence with children and youth thus contributing to the democracy promotion and feeding the integration process. Our participants during the vacation projects are between 4 and 18 years old and adults from seminar operations. The projects are conceptualized, organized and supervised by the charitable members of the association. Furthermore, charitable youths are directly involved in the work of the projects. They mostly occur in the school vacations. During school time, they are prepared substantially and organizational. There are thematic seminars taking place and the evaluation documentation and accounting ensues. The Rasselbande e.V is well integrated into regional networks. Our direct children and youths projects as well as seminars are supported financially and substantially by the city of Dresden, the country and the German French youth office in order to make the participation in the projects for all children and youths possible. We also offer our support to parents regarding the application of grants. Occupation/ supervisionThe volunteer is supervised and accompanied by educated pedagogues and a member of the association (student) will act as the direct contact person. The volunteer will be involved in all processes of our project procedures as a team member. Depending on substantial interests, previous knowledge he/she will be taking over self-responsible tasks. These could be cooperation with all-day schools, collaborating associations or single projects of youths for youths, the training and supervision of young colleagues (JuLeiCa, BAFA- training). The main focus is set on the preparation and execution of international vacation projects during the summer vacation. Target group:Children, youths and young adults from Germany, Morocco and France Goals: accompany and promote children and youths through the vacation offers.
