The main goal of the project is to support the development of cross-border partnership cooperation in the Slovak-Hungarian region through creation of functioning network of cooperating organizations, human resources and project aims. Cooperating territories belong to undeveloped regions on both sides of the common border, they have been economically and socially undeveloped for a long time, isolated from transport and information, there is low or non-existent extend of partnership cooperation. Implementation of the project shall contribute to improvement of coordinated planning, fortifying of planning capacities and implementation of projects and to better involvement of institutions into integrated development in frontier areas. Achievements: The micro region of Lučenec and the north-eastern part of Nógrád county are disadvantaged parts of the border area. Without defending their interests, a better capitalization, information flow and communication, municipalities, enterprises and non-governmental organizations are not able to use opportunities to their advantage. The aim of this project was to create a platform by the actors mentioned above to get to know each other and the possibilities of the HUSK Cross-Border Cooperation Programme and to initialize joint cross border projects. In the frame of the project, the partners created a database of interested actors, analysed and presented the possibilities of Cross Border Programmes during seminars, provided consultancy services in filling application forms and created a common website to maintain the network in the sustainable period.
