Együtt a nemzetközi partnerségi kapcsolatok felé
Start date: Jun 1, 2016, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Deák Ferenc High School of Szeged has applied for the Erasmus + KA1 Mobility Programme for the second time, after a successful application last year. There are 30 participants this time who intend to take part in one- or two-week courses held in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Malta, Italy, Germany, France, Spain and Austria in July and August of 2016. While the selected courses provide methodological and linguistic support for our language teachers, those chosen by teachers not teaching the target languages offer programmes to enhance and deepen cultural awareness, effective communication, coaching and computer skills, or knowledge about media and photography, all in accordance with our common institutional goals. The objective of our project this year is to initiate changes aimed at opening towards international relationships and creating an international network. We plan to achieve our objectives in three steps. First, as short and middle term goals, we intend to widen our capacities in the fields of professional, digital and linguistic competence, facilitate the personal and professional renewal of our colleagues and increase the diversity of spoken languages with the help of the mobilities to effectively prepare both the teaching staff and the students for taking part in quality online and strategic partnerships. Secondly, this project provides a chance to enlarge our perspective, our consciousness and susceptibility concerning the Erasmus+ programmes and eTwinning, so that the teaching staff and the students acquire a positive attitude and the desire to participate actively. The personal and institutional experience gained in the application process and the project work will be utilized in the future KA1 and KA2 Erasmus applications. Finally, the eTwinning projects deriving from the mobilities will deepen and directly support the linguistic, professional and digital knowledge of the teachers gained at the Erasmus+ courses, strengthening the intercultural consciousness of the students, developing their linguistic and digital competence and enabling them to achieve greater independence. Hopefully, the middle and long term effects of the eTwinning projects will be the formation of exchange partnerships, which will provide the chance for numerous students and teachers to participate in foreign exchange programmes. Hence, the most important long term goal of our mobility application is to generate new international co-operation, thus strengthening the distinction and international dimension of our high school.
