Egy tanulót se veszítsünk el!
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our school is one of the three state-run schools in Fót. Although our town is not considered to be a disadvantaged region, we have the feeling that within Fót we are underprivileged compared to the other schools. We see two main reasons for this.Firstly the school is situated in a part where the population is senescent, i.e. there hasn't been a significant moving in from the capital. Secondly the gypsy population, gypsy families live here in one block and their children attend our school. It means that we have a negative appreciation within Fót, in spite of the fact that we achieved very good results in the field of inclusive education. There has been a dramatic decrease in the number of schoolchildren, and we experienced only a slight increase in the previous two years. We realized that we can keep up this trend and improve the appreciation of our school by affirming our educational and teaching activities. We also need to work out programmes which result not only in the competency affirmation, but at the same time, are attractive for outsiders. Unfortunately we haven't had a great breakthrough in the National Competency Survey yet. That is the reason why we support any training course which ultimately leads to the improvement of the children's basic competencies. After Hungary had joined the EU, we were one of the first schools who took advantage of the educational facilities and possibilities both online (etwinning) and offline ( Comenius programmes). We expect the improvement of the teachers' competency. In Erasmus+ KA1 we would like to take part one experienced teacher colleague. In the training course concerning the problem of dropping-out, we expect to have achievements in social sensitivity as well as getting to know efficient methods and the improvement of inter-cultural competencies within our school. The final goal is to achive no one kid drop out of school in our institute. We think that the activities of Erasmus +KA1 and KA2 could achieve a common result concerning the above mentioned requirements and aims, and in our opinion the two programmes are built upon each other. Our colleague is good at foreign language communication and thus can take an active part in the realization of the strategic partnership project. This project meets real demands in our school. Our school has a further relevant aim. Namely, we would like to show an example that the European co-operation is not an abstract idea but a real possibility, which every participant, schoolchild, teacher and parent can make good profit of.
