Eğitimde Yenilikçi Yaklaşımlar ve Geleceğin Öğrenme Ortamları

Fatih Anatolian High School is one of the biggest & most crowded state schools with its 80 staff and 1240 students. Our main goal at school is to teach our students the ways of acquiring knowledge but not teaching memorization. Besides, rasing new generations who are curious and innovator. We can't ignore the positive role of using technological devices in education. Therefore, in order to integrate the modern and comtemporary education with the usage of technology in education, we are planning attend the courses "Tap-Swipe-Pinch - Tablet PC in Education" and "Game Based Learning & Gamification" in Spain, "Innovative Approaches to Teaching" in France and "Best Practices Benchmarking" in Finland with our 13 staff. We have four separate teams to attend these courses. In Spain, there will be 4 staff including 1 Science, 1 Social Sciences,1 English and 1 Music teacher in "Tap-Swipe-Pinch - Tablet PC in Education" course; there will be 2 staff including 1 ICT and 1 Maths teacher in "Game Based Learning & Gamification" course. On the other hand, there will be 2 staff including 1 English and 1 Literature teacher in "Innovative Approaches to Teaching" course which will be held in France. Finally, in Finland there will be 5 staff including 1 Manager, 1 Guidance Counselor and 3 teachers who lead the European Projects. The participants will be chosen among the staff who has the competence of a foreign language, highly motivated in learning & teaching, open-minded and whose motto is "life-long learning" In the course which will be held in Spain, the participants will acquire the knowledge of "how to develop tablet habits in class", "develop classroom ready practical resources & activities" and "the role and usage of virtual games in education". With these skills, the participants will be able to use interactive boards and tablets in a more effective way in their classrooms. In the course which will be held in France, the staff who will be trained about education methods of 21st century will be able to develop critical and creative thinking skills, also they will design learning environments that encourages the students to find the way of learning to learn. In the course which will be held in Finland, the staff will be encouraged to improve the quality of education by - discussing about methodological and organizational arrangements in schools in different countries - learning innovative approach to digital learning - discussing about the future of formal learning / what modern learning environment look like At the end of this project, our school aims to be one of the pioneer schools in terms of quality development and internationalisation in our district by increasing strategical cooperation and partnership with European schools. In long term, with the increasing use of technology and innovative teaching methods, we will be able to save time and materials in education. In that way the efficiency will rise.
