Educational Programme 'Creative Child in Cultural Management'

The project will develop a vocational training module for managers of cultural events allowing them to work more effectively with children. As the majority of cultural event management training is currently aimed at people working with adults, the project fills a gap in existing training provision. The training module will build upon the results of a previously funded Leonardo project on cultural management and new information technologies within which the project partners were involved. The developed training programme will provide users with particular knowledge and skills in how to work with children in the management of cultural events, to include creative and physiological aspects of work with children in the field of cultural management and the psychology of children. The module-based curriculum will be developed via regular meetings amongst the project partners and will function as a distance learning and learner-based package, available as a CD-Rom and as a printed handbook. The project will further developed and introduce an internet database containing information on the regulations, in each partner country, concerning the participation of children in cultural activities. Project partners will make use of established educational networks to advertise the project's results and will make use of mass media for wider dissemination.
