Education of adults without borders
Hungary’s and Slovakia’s entry into the European Union and the resultingemergence of an internal EU border between these two countries offersthe opportunity to create new crossborder regions by the collaborationof disadvantaged settlements located on the two sides of the border and bythe development of a common infrastructure and networks. To achieve this, theemployment level and economic competitiveness of these areas must be improvedleading to the preservation of existing employment opportunities and to the creationof new employment opportunities. The funding has been used to finance theestablishment of a joint partner database, an Image and Network Operation Manual, ajoint website, studies, a course catalogue and a new syllabus. The project’s outcomespromote the employment chances of the population living in rural areas near theborder, enterpreneurial propensity and the establishment of an integrated humanresources development space.
