Our School I.E.S. Cañada Real is located in the town of Valmojado within 50 km of Madrid. Therefore our School is located in a rural setting many families arrive from other parts of the country and many other European African and Latin American countries looking for a less expensive accomodation near Madrid , where they work. Thus, our students show the characteristics of these areas and very little economic capacity. Under these circumstances , the School aims at providing our students with a quality education by adapting our methodology to their own situations and using the systems and tools of the School for their training tasks , as at home they do not have such facilities. However , we have gone through some economic hardship in our country and in many other European , so it is sometimes difficult or impossible to acquire new materials and even update what we already have and replace those materials that begin to fail. This economic crisis we are experiencing also affects the training offer to our teachers and their time for these activities has also been reduced. For all the above , the School is applying for this Project as a clear and direct way to alleviate many of our School needs hitherto uncovered. So, after taking into account all the conditions and characteristics of the project , the School has decided to request nine mobilities for training courses throughout the next two years for nine of our teachers. Our staff has a large number of stable workforce that has always been willing to participate in the School European Projects ( Comenius) and has collaborated in the design and implementation of the various exchanges we develop to Germany and , this year, to France as well. Currently, many of them are participating in courses that address Project-Based Learning , CLIL or collaborative groups developing curricular material for teachers. To go on with our staff training , we apply for the following training courses : "Content and Language Integrated Learning ( Secondary ) " , "ICT FOR TEACHING : A practical course to Incorporate Information Technology into Teaching ( literacy , numeracy , science , etc. ) "," Using Interactive teaching- educational games in order to Enhance learner's motivation " , " Teaching Grammar in Context "," Education for Tomorrow " and" Reaching , teaching and learning methods and keeping Approaches Increase to reach and retention of risk learners . " Completing this training we are going to improve our knowledge on new methodologies and on new information and communication technologies to help, motivate and integrate our students taking an active role in their education to avoid dropout . We will also improve our linguistic competence , introducing new methodologies, specifically in teaching English . With this project our teaching practice takes place in a modern, dynamic environment , open to new educational practices and collaborating with other schools and other institutions. Our staff try to get a greater response to the social , linguistic and cultural diversity , having more capacity to address the needs of this large number of pupils at risk of exclusion, being able to offer greater opportunities for professional development to improve their skills , especially in foreign languages. Finally , the School will make the widest possible dissemination of this training for the whole educational community and other local, regional , national and international organisations who wish to integrate into their teaching all these new techniques to reach that common goal : meet the challenge of a new teaching, international and modern , which is everyone's responsibility and in which all every agent involved have things to learn and to teach. A new challenge that we will reach after this necessary training and the subsequent dissemination to allow us to have all our teachers trained and integrating this new methodology onwards. Do not want to forget to mention that our purpose is to continue forming us to expand strategies and knowledge and hope to get new European partners with whom to share and learn in these and other areas directly related to our educational work.
