Education for young researchers
Start date: Sep 1, 2016, End date: Aug 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Education for young researchersThe wider objective of the project is to offer new types of trainings and activities for young researchers and empower their career development and integration in the society. Currently, in Macedonia there is a lack of support (educational courses and services) to young researchers in their professional and personal development. As, IECE is positioned to be an interface between academia and industry, we strive to improve communication channels between academic staff, young researchers and industry and offer new types of courses and activities. This mobility and staff training project will contribute in achieving the wider objective by successful realization of these objectives:- To build IECE capacities as an adult training organisation and abilities to cooperate and exchange with international partners in the field of adult education;- To gain knowledge, skills and competencies to develop new curriculum and implement educational courses for young researchers using new training methods and tools;- To enhance IECE’s staff competencies and professional development;- To expand our network and associates with professional from other countries. In order to meet our identified needs two types of activities are proposed to happen during the three mobility activities: job shadowing and training events. The job shadowing at RUB Research School will provide IECE staff with new knowledge, skills and competencies in how to organise, promote, implement and evaluate courses for young researchers, as well how to develop and implement services for young researchers connecting with industry. The training events at RUB Research School will enhance the professional development of IECE staff by gain knowledge and skills on several topics: Developing generic skills for young researchers, Career training and Personal competence training.Successful realization of the project activities will provide positive impact on four levels: impact on the IECE, impact on the participants, impact on IECE learners-young researchers and impact on industry. Project results will be disseminated from the beginning of the project and continue after the end of the project. Target groups of our dissemination activities are young researchers, academic staff, adult education staff and industry. Dissemination of the project results will be done through IECE and RUB web portals, social media, articles in magazines, e-mails, newsletters and interview on TV. Also, sustainability plan will be developed during the project to continue with the activities after finishing the project and achieving the long-term perspective.
