“EducArt: The use of wallpainting in education processes”
Start date: Aug 3, 2015, End date: Feb 2, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Since 2009 a group of European organizations have been working on various international projects, seting up an informal network. From 2009 to 2013 we were engaged in a training process that allowed us to investigate the introduction of artistic methodologies in our educational processes. A few years later and after having continued working together on many projects (EVS, Youth Initiatives, Youth Exchanges, etc ...) we feel the need to (re)start training and boost networking again. That collective need is the origin of "EducArt: the use of wallpainting in education proceses". The partner organizations belonging to the network are Colour Space of Pécs (Hungary), Vedogiovane Asti (Italy), Rota Jovem (Portugal), Centrul pentru Asociatia din of Tineret Gheorgheni (Romania), Barbiana (Spain), Safe Shelter House (Latvia) and the coordinator Association Taller EVA (Colectivo CALA from Spain). Although they are old acquaintances, APEDI (France) and Gaia (Portugal) join to us in this project . The objectives of "educArt" are: 1. Develop a training program that allows the acquisition of competencies (knowledge, skills and attitudes) to participants in the field of non-formal education, arts and youth. 2. Learn a new educational methodology, innovative, creative and more attractive to young people with whom we work and to enrich the workers, leaders and volunteers, but also our organizations in general. 3. Strengthen the links between the participating organizations and develop strategies for networking. The participants will be 24 youth workers from partner organizations. Project activities are 6, presentation of the project to participants, an initial evaluation through an online form and the online presentation of the project by the coordinator and trainers , a training course of eight days and two travel days (19-27 September 2015) in Alburquerque (Badajoz) Spain, setting up a mural action at the local level where the participants will implement their learnings and a final online evaluation of the entire process. A video of the course and an online handbook will be available in the partners organizations web sites, to disseminate learnings and create a biger impact and sustainable results on the organizations and all interested people.
