EDP - Entrepreneurship for Disadvantaged People

The EDP project aims to enhance the quality of service provision of labour market offices and private employment agencies within the participating countries, specifically those encouraging entrepreneurship within disadvantaged groups. The project will analyse relevant EU policies and thus establish a virtual archive through the collection of some 300 documents on EU education, training and employment strategies.A benchmarking research exercise will be undertaken with regard to employment agencies across participating countries comparing different approaches in promoting entrepreneurship.A tri-lingual, best practice database will be established by the project with regard to business start-up and active labour market initiatives for disadvantaged groups. The final end project result will be a report, produced on both paper and CD-Rom, in IT, PT & DE, summarising the results of all project phases.Beneficiaries of the project will be those responsible for active labour market policies and actual service providers to the unemployed and to other disadvantaged groups.
