Project Background:
The Joanneum Universal Museum, the children`s museum FRida & freD and the ScienceCenter-Network have the unique opportunity to host Europe`s greatest science communication-event and the second largest worldwide. 1.000 participants are expected in Graz to join the conference form 7 – 11 June 2016. They arrive from 50 different countries. This event offers the chance for all participants and the host to present themselves as outstanding partners in the science communication field because the network is an intellectual hub connecting culturally and institutionally diverse professionals and networks.
2015 the Annual Ecsite Conference takes place in Trento. The children`s museum team will join the Ecsite conference form 10 – 14 June.
Aim of the project:
The children`s museum executive management expects a lot from this extensive conference participation. First of all he expects detailed knowledge of the conference-running and the organization to implement a successful conference in Graz the year after.

Results & long-term benefits
The conference attendance should give safety to the Graz team to implement the conference the year after. Some of them never attended an Ecsite Conference before.
In the long run the holding of the Ecsite Conference in Graz means for the children's Museum and its team an increase of international importance in the field of science communication.
In the future the Ecsite Conference will intensify the possibilities of cooperation and networking for the children`s museum.
