Start date: Sep 5, 2016, End date: Sep 4, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

Bundeshandelsakademie Wien 22 („business.academy.donaustadt") is one of the biggest business schools in Vienna. We offer economic expertise and a substantial general education, two elements which contribute to a successful future for our students. The focus of the school is on management, languages and media. Our students can graduate after five years with a school-leaving examination diploma that allows to study at all universities, colleges and academies within the European UnionIn the language-focus classes CLIL is applied in many subjects, in the media-classes the focus is on e-Cool, e-learning and blended-learning. Cooperative Open Learning and the deployment of new teaching methods with the use of new technology as well as international affairs have high priority at the BHAK Wien 22.Job shadowing should give the teachers new insights and provide an incentive for their teaching. During the visits discussions about the objectives of the Europe 2020 Strategy, including the headline education target2 are discussed as well as the objectives of the strategic framework for European cooperation in education and training (ET 2020), including the corresponding benchmarks. The cooperation with other schools ensures that skills and qualifications can be more easily recognised and are better understood, within and across national borders. The deployment of European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and NCP are discussed in an international setting. Most of the partner schools are vocational schools with long experience in sending their students to mobilities for workexperience. We would like to share their knowledge and gain experience and know how. Moreover we hope to establish future and mutual partnerships to the schools we visit.Since 2015/16 workexperience has become a compulsory part at business schools in Austria. Workexperience in a partnercountry offers additional benefits for the students because not only language skills are aquired but also intercultural competencies are fostered. The mobility of the respective teachers are all in accordance with the strategic principles and approaches of BHAK Wien22. Jobshadowing serves to improve the internationality of the school. In order to fulfil these objectives, the tools available should be able to cater for new phenomena such as internationalisation of education and growing use of digital learning, and support the creation of flexible learning pathways in line with learners' needs and objectives.
