Ecological Cooperation between Youth Organizations in Europe

The project ECO Youth is specially designed to train and develop healthy mentalities for youth and for the European community, and to teach an ecological behavior which will lead to spreading the information and the methods available in order to implement the environment policy.The project will be implemented in 7 months, in the period 15th January- 15th of August 2016, with a partnership composed by 4 promoters from EU states: ASCE-PP Romania, Polva Municipality - Estonia, Sabbeen Group, Italy, E-genclick Turkey. The project will reach is above mentioned purpose by reaching the following objectives, which are according to the objectives and priorities of Erasmus+ and Strategy Europe 2020 for Youth domain:1. Raising the level of information regarding the importance of the environmental protection, for 36 participants from Romania, Estonia, Turkey and Italy, through interactive non-formal activities, along with the implementation of the project2. The stimulation of ecological behaviors among young people who are in the target group, in order to develop healthy mentalities regarding the environment, through non-formal education methods, along with the implementation of the project3. Development of practical competences of environmental care for 36 young people from the target group, along with the implementation of the youth exchange in Ramnicu Sarat4. Creating an appropriate environment for intercultural dialogue among the participants from the target group, along with the implementation of the project5. Raising the level of visibility actions regarding the environmental care by using non formal methods, for at least 500 citizens from Ramnicu Sarat and for more than 1200 citizens from the partner organization’s communities, along with the implementation of the projectIn order to reach these objectives and goals we want to implement a youth exchange in Ramnicu Sarat, Romania in the period 1st-14th of April 2016, having a target group of 36 participants: 8 young people/ promoter, gender balanced, aged 15-30 years old, accompanied by 1 group leader/ country. The youngsters, during the 12 days of activities will implement themed activities for ecological education using non-formal methods and instruments, and having a sustainable process of learning, will lead to team building and personal development, but also to the development of the organizations, local communities and European level. The implementation of this youth exchange is the responsibility of all the promoters, and they will get involved equally in order to reach the objectives and the final result, by:-doing themed activities (environmental education) using non-formal methods, such as: seminars, presentations, workshops, public café, role playing games, case study, photo-voice, forum theatre in high schools, campaigns, local greenings, themed visits at the Centre of selective garbage picking, at the enterprise FERMIT SA, the eco march, debate match, etc-doing intercultural activities, such as: get-to-know-each-other games, icebreakers, energizers, intercultural evenings, socializing evenings, karaoke party, picnic, camp fire, theatre plays, storytelling, secret friend game, etc.- Final theatre show in open air, in the municipal park in the last day of activities- performing activity- Planning a session of writing new project Eco-themed, in the last days (10 and 11) of the project, having as purpose raising the social awareness towards the development of ecological mentalities and behaviors, on the principle “baby steps” (more ecological projects->a bigger chance to understand and develop suitable attitudes toward the environment)- Debate with the local authorities on the environment issues regarding the way young people can get involved in this topic- Preparation and implementation of the intermediary and final evaluation, of the Youthpass presentation, insuring and coordinating reflection spaces: group reflection, leaders meeting, Youthpass reflection, mobility tool reflection, presentation of fears-expectations-contributions (at the beginning and also at the end, in the last day)- Preparation and completing the Youthpass certificates, the final ceremony of awarding the certificatesAt the end of the project, the young people will develop an experiential learning process, developing attitudes and competences towards the ecology, based on the 8 key competences-youthpass. The impact will be useful towards the environment, the youth, being at the base of the change for the community.
