Eco-Workcamp Technical Leading

The French organisation Solafrika initiates this project to share its experiences and competences in technical leading of workcamp linked with ecological issues. "Eco-workcamp technical leading" training course aims to : -Discover and share good practices of technical leading on an educative workcamp -Discover and promote ecological practices in a workcamp and around -Experiment technical leading on an ecological workcamp -Share methods to adapt workcamps according to various publics -To practice "living together" -To improve its leading competences The project will take place in South of France, in Ariège or Haute-Garonne, in a holidays cottage situated near to the local of Solafrika. It will gather during 11 days (including travels) 24 participants (and 2 Solafrika's leaders) from Ukraine, United Kingdom, Macedonia, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France from the 24th of November until the 4th of December 2015. Participants will be people connected with the topics of the training : youth workers and leaders, directors and coordinators of workcamps, people interested by these subjects. The timetable of activities that we plan is : 1/ Arrivals, getting to know each other 2/ Discover the place, the people, the topics 3/ Day on the field : discover Solafrika's ecological workcamps 4/ Specificities of a leader 5/ Specificities of a technical leader 6/ Ecological practices : in the workcamp and besides 7/ Break and outdoor activities 8/ Sharing experiences and looking for good practices and solutions. Adaptation to various publics. 9/ Into application : technical leading of an ecological workcamp. 10/ Into application : technical leading of an ecological workcamp. Evaluation, learnings, actions plans for the future and partnership. 11/ Departure A detailed timetable is available in annexe of this file. The methodology that will be used during the training is non-formal education. It contains workshops of theater of the oppressed, moments of practice and others more theoricals, individual and collective thinking, ... Participants will be asked to participate actively to the activities. Also to implicate themselves into evaluation and eventualy to adapt the activities timetable in order to answer better to their needs. This project should give news competences and knowledges to the participants, linked to (especially technical) leading of educative workcamps. Quality of projects should be improved. By promoting ecological practices, we hope that participants will ask their organisation for develop this kind of workcamp in their country or at international level. Participants will leave this training with news tools that they could share when they will be back in their country. For Solafrika, the main impact is to confront its vision of technical leading and ecological workcamp with foreigners people and organisations, and so improve its future projects. Long term benefits could be the use of pedagogical aspect in the work of technical leaders and the generalisation of ecological workcamps in Europe. Also the consideration of environmental respect during all the workcamp steps : food, hygienic and washing products, transportation, leisure activities, ...) . A manual, that will be make as a result of the project will be spread to organisations of workcamp over France and Europe.
