ECO – ACCESS. Improving citizens accessibility to the public utillities services, in order to protect the cross-border environment (ECO ACCESS)

The project improves the cooperation between Romanian and Hungarian local public authorities, in order to find common solutions for the public utilities services. The implementation of project assures the development of two sewerage systems (for each partner) with real impact for the population’s quality of life and environment in cross-border area. Also, the implementation of the project improves hygiene and health conditions of residents, the quality of life in region, sustainable use of natural resources of water and soil and protection of the environment by closing 1460 sources of pollution.The main activities of this project are: organizing a “round - table”, organizing two public debates in Cefa and Sarkadkeresztúr, regarding sewage system investments to be carried out in Cefa (10 km of sewer network and rehabilitation the existing sewage station from Cefa).The target group is formed by all the citizens who are living in Sarkadkeresztúr (1869 persons) and Cefa (2355 persons) – approximately 4200 persons, the existing or possible economical investors form the area, the socio cultural institution from the area: schools, kindergardens, medical units, or public service units.
