We basically try to achieve two main goals in our institution. First, we try to enable our young students to intercultural communication. Second, we hope to balance the various curricula in the different Federal States. Therefore we have already developed a concept starting from first grade based on the playful curiousity of the young language learners. We strive hard to give our students the chance to "a glance beyond......" which means to accepts more tolerance for "being different." (regarding language, culture, food, disabilities in any respect) That is why we applied for the course "Young Learners". The given contents like effective foreign language teaching as well as motivating young students absolutely supports our project and needs. Our participants have been teaching English in elementary school for many years. One of them has profound experience in teaching and leading. The second participant´s abilities lie in teaching preschoolers, elementary as well as high school students. By participating in the program they want to ensure the quality assurance of the teaching concepts as well as gaining new competences like teaching methods in an authentic environment. With these acquired abilities and competences we strive to enlarge the foreign-language-program in the field of full-time-school and to enhance the intercultural awareness.
