In the last decades the field of renewable energies has passed through periods of great attention and periods of scarce interest. Nowadays the consciousness is growing about its rather promising potentialities in terms of better environment, economic savings and opportunities of employment. Rural areas may be the appropriate context for an expansion of the exploitation of solar energy, mainly in the sunny Countries of southern Europe. With a possible given growth of employment too, in regions often suffering of an higher rate of unemployment. The project envisages to train via e.learning people of those areas (adult people mainly) in order to give them the opportunity of becoming installers of renewable energy based equipments. An hard challenge, since those target groups are normally not the most confident public towards training, e.learning and ICTs. Through the platform implemented for training ,the project’s promoter and partners envisage also to establish a data bank on the best practices in the field of use of renewable energies, as well as a channel of information on European and national legislations concerning the matter. Involving SMEs dealing with solar energy appliances and professionals. -- OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES: To improve the quality of training and favour the access to lifelong learning is the objective of the project. In order to accomplish to such a goal, the planning of the project include the production of 10.000 brochures, the access to the web site of 1000 SMEs people, practitioners and trainers.
