E-REPORT - Transnational virtual study circles: e-learning supports for tutorship and learning groups

This reference material project intends to focus on the elaboration of a repertory of reference material with regards to the development of innovative methods in the field of e-learning systems for distance learning in VET. More specifically the project refers to activities of research, experimentation and analysis with regards to methodologies and content in the field of e-learning, aiming at setting up a kind of distance learning system, combining the use of ICT with tutoring activities, learning groups and transnational virtual study circles. Starting from a context analysis the main needs of the national VET systems will be identified and compared between 4 European countries in order to set up a shared framework of needs, offers, quality of the courses, and typology of the final users. Target groups are indicated as trainers/teachers in VET, experts and researchers in e-learning systems. Also students, worker students, disabled people in the labour market, and women, for these sectors: Education, Research and Development, Computer and related activities, with a special focus to e-learning. Final results of the project will be quantitative and qualitative data about online courses develop in the partners countries in the field of VET, multimedia guidance material of each partner with regard to the offered e-learning courses, educational and training material for testing purposes, data on the impact and efficacy of e-learning courses and training methods, and a software platform for the management of the projects' activities for testing of e-learning methods. Dissemination of results is organised using reports, conferences, transnational meetings, websites, scientific publications, e-newsletters and CD/DVDs.
