Start date: Sep 1, 2014, End date: Aug 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

This proposed project focuses on developing students’ empirical thinking ability, in particular by strengthening the mathematical and scientific knowledge and trough the stimulus to the acquisition of new methods. This will enable students to make informed choices and know where to go for help and to take other effective actions to improve their and the general economic well-being. To achieve this primary objective, it is necessary to develop teachers' methodological teaching skills, sharing their own best practices and sharing their experience with other EU professionals. Particular attention will be paid to the use of ICT didactical practice. In fact they will be applied not only in effective cooperation with partners, and as an exciting, dynamic tool for the creation the training materials. The innovative aspect of the project will consist in fact in a critical analysis of web resources available in their experimentation with students in individual schools and during the meetings. During the project in preparing presentations, mind-maps, videos, animations students will use a variety of online resources that will serve as methodological materials and as examples of a specific web site use. Teachers will collect web links to create a web resource catalogue, which everyone will be able to use for teaching and learning specific topics (interactive presentations of theory, interactive exercises, games, etc.). During trans-national and short mobility meetings students and teachers will share their experience and assess the methodological materials and results of the project. Theacher and student will write an e-book on a specific topic of study, to demonstrate how technology can be integrated into teaching and how it can help the different learning styles. The e-book, written during and also between the meetings, wil be a tool from collaborative writing. During the meetings time will be also devoted to the knowledge of the culture and habits of the hosting country. Citizenship will be integrated into the project by empowering our students to contribute to the planning, monitoring and evaluation of the project in a democratic manner. All the results got in the different phases of the project will be published in a proper website (eTwinning.net, project webpage, school webpage) to be actively used and shared among all the members. Communication and dialogue are therefore possible all through the project giving it an interactive feature. A project webpage containing all the documents produced during the project will be made at the end of the project. English will be the project language.
