e-hospital - e-learning opportunities for adult patients during hospitalisation in health-care institutions
Start date: Oct 1, 2005,

Exploring the possibilities for lifelong learning for long-term hospital patients, the award-winning eHospital project aimed at introducing informal, e-learning activities for hospitalised adults. Partners worked together to design and pilot a series of local e-learning activities, evaluating the effects of learning activitiy on the personal and social development of patients and upon the process of convalescence. A specialised e-learning platform was developed, comprising educational resources for learners and educators alongside specialist guidance materials for adult educators.
