E+F - E-learning module of English + Finance for countries integrating into the European Union

The E+F project aims to increase the compatibility of terminology in the field of finance, through the development of a dedicated learning space on the internet. The programme to be developed will focus upon English language learning with a particular focus on finance and financial terminology.Whilst all levels (beginner to advanced) will eventually be considered, the project aims to create a single 'model' at mid-intermediate level, resulting in a course of 50 learning hours. The course will contain 15 lessons, 3 periodic reviews and a final test and will cover areas such as reading, listening, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and spoken language. Further elements to be considered include a specialist dictionary of financial terms, a chat-room, a background section on EU Finance and an e-tutoring system. At the outset a 'group of learners' is to be formed, able to input on the development of the course and to pilot the initial results, feeding back and suggesting improvement where necessary. A further team of experts will both review the product / course and evaluate the results of the initial piloting. The course will be made readily available on the internet for use by those either currently employed in the financial sector or those currently studying towards this end goal. Users will potentially extend beyond the original partner countries following dissemination of the end results through NISPAcee (Network of Institutes and Schools of Public Administration in Central and Eastern Europe).
