E-CODE - E-LEARNING FOR COMPETENCE DEVELOPMENT

The project promoted by Conform in partnership with European Organisations, Member and/or Consortium partners, expression of enterprise, training, methodological and organisational training for Public Authorities (CRIA- Spain, GIP- France, Business Boffins -UK) and the academic system, research and guidance (COIE – University of Cantabria -Spain) is based on the experience and the results obtained in the LdV EUTRANEX - I/04/B/F/NT-15409 project. More specifically, the competence based methodological model, the relative web application to define competence, analyse needs, design and deliver training interventions has been applied and tested in the field of e-learning by creating virtual web competence based learning environments. The environments developed have assumed as a paradigm of quality of E-learning the constant reference to management by process and by competence, allowing the gathering of materials and work tools in a wide “process based training container”, that via the integration of technological, cognitive, pedagogic and organisational aspects recreates an interactive e-learning system able to vitalise distributed learning methods, experience based learning, of collaborative and personalised learning, easily correlable with operative and behavioural elements of competence. On the basis of the positive results of testing undertaken by the Lead Partner, these e-learning solutions were proposed both to the staff of the banks in the BPER group, in the continuing training field funded by the Fondo FORTE (Call 1/06), and to the Employment Centres of the Province of Avellino, in relation to the reorganisation of processes and repertory of competences project (Measure 3.1 POR Campania 2000-2006). The “e-code” project thus aims to consolidate this strategy, opting for a transfer action to benefit the credit sector and orientation in the labour market, as a response to the needs to innovate management practices and systems of continuing training processes in e-learning, increasing the coherence of the training offer on the basis of competence needs of companies/organisations, rendering web based training courses more flexible, tailoring them to individuals’ leaning needs. The transfer of innovation intends to sustain the target sectors with an evolved culture of E-learning, meant as an integrated process, leaving aside “contents” to focus on the contribution that e-learning can give to develop competences, surpassing the circumscribed perimeter of training to integrate with knowledge management systems and with those of human resource management. The initiative via an action of giving value to methodological, organisational, pedagogic and above all cultural innovation intends to render common the experience and results obtained, via a participated process of sharing, transfer and sustainability of the model and the relative web based application generating a notable impact in terms of observable qualitative innovation of e-learning: 1)in the credit sector: distance training is considered a winning investment due to the adoption of the web competence based people development and management model based on elements of competence that are cognitive, abilitative and behavioural that need to be possessed, mobilised and exercised to obtain the results expected by the company; 2) employment services: granting the employment system professional human resources suitable to manage functions and strategic processes, via the constant updating of competences of staff to the standards of services expected, so as to benefit from continual updates in e-leaning mode that will allow the user to access personalised training courses in conformity with his/her needs and in close relation to the requests of his/her work context; find fast, flexible and personalised responses.
