DUKOM - Promotion of horizontal and vertical transferability of skills for care, support and counseling in nursing, social and health formation in Europe

The project implementation was carried out in several steps. First, the field of action was described in detail and demarketed. In the next step, the target groups were defined. It has to be noted that in the elderly care sector very different professions are involved. The partners chose according to their disciplines those professionals whose curricula they knew exactly and where the implementation of the learning units seemed to be practical. The development of learning units was carried out in several steps. Using a task analysis, the common tasks in the field of action of the professional groups were identified. Subsequently, during the equivalence comparison, the partners discussed how the learning units should be sturctured in a proper content related way and which kind of measurement was reasonable for an easy way of implemention. Since the transfer of innovation in particular should be done from the German education framework into the other countries, the choice for the measurement method fell on the European standard ECTS, because this rating system is well know and already implemented in the European countries. In summary, the learning units were thematically devided into two modules and will be implemented partially or in whole in some of the countries.
