PROJECT
FINISHED
The aim of our project was to enable teachers of foreign languages to undergo advanced trainings abroad. Initially 3 teachers of Spanish and 5 teachers of French were going to take part in the project, but for reasons beyond our control 5 persons - including 3 teachers of Spanish and 2 teachers of French – went abroad. The participants of Erasmus+ project were both experienced teachers and novices. After having analyzed the needs of our institution, we chose the schools offering the trainings with the program which met our requirements. We also took under consideration the opinions about those schools which had appeared on Internet forums. Thanks to participating in methodology courses our teachers had an opportunity to discover plenty of innovative, more creative techniques and methods used in teaching and learned how to use, to a greater extent, active training and IT educational news in order to enhance the effectiveness and attractiveness of conducted classes. After the end of mobility participants completed the questionnaire– the Report of the mobility participant- KA1. Next, they organized the meeting with Alliance Francaise teachers on school premises to share the news about mobility and made their contact information available to others in order to provide guidance for people interested in participating in Erasmus plus projects. The language teachers shared their knowledge by organizing an educational workshop for foreign language teachers in Bydgoszcz where the alternative methods of review (consolidation of new material) were showed. During the meeting with the students of one of Bydgoszcz secondary schools (III LO in Bydgoszcz) they could get to know the region of Andalusia. The same meeting with SAF students took place on school premises. Apart of workshop and meetings with students the participants of Erasmus+ project conducted open lessons for the teachers SAF.In order to bring the culture of France closer to SAF students, the school introduced the culinary workshops inspired by cooking courses conducted in visited schools. The meetings take place once a month starting from February. They are conducted both in French and Polish for students SAF and the people outside the school. Not only did the project give an opportunity to test and develop linguistic competence (especially when it comes to rapid reaction, listening comprehension, broadening the range of vocabulary) but it also created opportunities to participate in everyday life of the residents of Spain and France. Consequently, the lessons on culture of this particular part of Europe became more interesting and motivating. Additionally we should mention the foreign contacts which have been established. We assume that thanks to developing teaching skills of our teachers, our institution, Alliance Francaise Association, became more competitive on the market of language schools.
