Project " Enhancing work competence of the teachers of IV LO in Kielce as a guarantee of high quality of students' education" will begin on 1 June 2016 and will be carried out for the following 20 months. The main objective of the project is to improve the school's quality by enhancing its staff competence in terms of using new methods and teaching tools, the ability of using Information and Communication Technologies as well as using foreign languages. Nine of the teachers of the secondary school in Kielce will take part in methodology in-service training courses abroad. They will be teachers of English, German, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, humanities (Polish, History) and science (Mathematics, IT). The main areas covered by the courses are: using ICT in teaching, Content and Language Integrated Learning methods and modern, new, interesting and effective ways of working with students. Participating in the project will reinforce teachers' ability of being creative and innovative and it will give the school a chance to introduce elements of English language into the lessons of Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and History. The teachers will improve their ability to speak foreign languages and use ICT in teaching. The teachers will get to know new, effective ways and tools used both in teaching and learning such as "blended learning" and "lexical approach". Having gained such knowledge will enable them to implement it to strategic school development plan.
