The project is designed for a group of 30 selected students of Technical School of Building and Construction. They are going to take a training in passive construction. Their apprenticeship will take place in a German Company Forssbohm&Sohne in Leipzig and ReProBau in Bosdorf, Germany. In addition to their training, the participants will get familiar with work organisation in German construction companies. They will also find out more about passive building technologies, which will improve their professional skills and academic level. What is more, they will learn more about energy-saving devices and power engineering industry as well as how to use computing techniques in construction sector. During their 4-week apprenticeship, being supervised by their German colleague, they will learn more about work discipline, creativity and will have a chance to boost their self esteem. Moreover, they will learn how to run a business in Germany and find out about environment protection regulations. The group will be supervised by both Polish and German teachers. Besides their professional training, the students will have German classes aimed at improving technical vocabulary. The project will be monitored and then evaluated by the school headmaster in Bolesławiec, teachers, and representatives of the German side. Completion of the apprenticeship will be confirmed by individual certificates and Europass Mobility. Improving work qualifications through the apprenticeship in the area of the city of Leipzig will give Polish students the chance for their further development in the labour market and increase both the students` and the school`s competitiveness.
