PROJECT
FINISHED
The project TASK FORCE aims at improving the effectiveness with which civil protection is delivered, both in preventive and reactive terms, through: • Networking, exchange of know-how and best practices • Raising Awareness on civil protection via education campaigns and the internet • Training and capacity building • Development and pilot application of a civil protection school education programme • Design and development of a Web-site for the project and the monitoring of civil protection issues in the Archimed area As civil protection mechanisms are primarily aimed at functioning on a national level, a recent EU communication has highlighted the need for more training and better communication and coordination between national agencies. As ARCHIMED areas share similar threats, the scope of this project is to bring together experience in dealing with similar civil protection situations, thus creating significant multiplier effects on project outcomes. Expected Results: 1. A report on the current situation in all project languages 2. Structured networking and exchange of know-how and best practices 3. A pilot civil protection school education programme 4. Training and workshop seminars 5. Web – site for the project and civil protection issues 6. Future action plan
