The project involves enabling three groups of students (2 groups of hairdressers and 1 group of mechanics; each group consists of 16 people with 2 teachers) training to be a hairdresser and a car mechanic during a foreign apprenticeship by partner institutions - F + U Sachsen GmbH. To participate in the project the two types of professional groups were selected. Jastrzębie-Zdrój is a mining town dominated by monoculture mining, we want to break this trend due to the fact that not everyone has the aptitude to work in the mining industry. Therefore we would like to promote these craft professions associated with the wider services sector which are important for the economy. The main aim of the project "Good practice future for craftsman" is to enable students to complete the 14-day internship in Chemnitz. The internship will implement a number of specific goals, such as improving the foreign language, experiencing with the culture of a foreign country, learning the values of the European dimension in education. The internship will allow students to acquire new professional skills both in terms of vehicle mechanics and hairdressing. The project assumes that the students (mechanics) learn new methods of work related to the diagnosis of internal combustion engines both diesel and petrol, the use of modern tools and methods of work of the various structural components of cars. For the hairdressers the project assumes education in the hairdressers profession. By participating in an internship these students will gain new professional skills in the field of modern haircut. What is mote the students will learn about new trends in styling and hair care. They will also become familiar with modern chemical products used in hairdressing. The internship will enable all students to develop the personal sphere -the self-esteem. We hope that they will try to become independent by the acquisition of new habits and attitudes by observing and communicating in a different culture including those related to the organization of work in a foreign company. Far-sighted aim of the project is to reduce the rate of high school graduates who, after graduation, are not able work. With this specialized training we want to make these young people to become highly valuable specialists for their potential employers in their profession. All the actions will begin in Poland.
