DO IT TOGETHER is a project that will take place from 29 August 2016 to 29 November 2016.The main activity is a youth exchange that will take place from 21 to 26 October 2016 in Berlin.It will bring together a group of 24 young people aged 13 to 17 years , from France (Municipality of St Jean de Vedas ) and Germany (Association Alte Feuerwache in Berlin) . The aim of this project is to foster active citizenship and European citizenship in particular, to develop intercultural dialogue and improve the skills and abilities of young people .For one week , young people will gather to live a rich experience around values of solidarity, tolerance. It will be proposed that a collective citizen action and to sensitize the local population to protect the environment.The objectives are:- Enable young people to discover the richness of cultural diversity through the construction and implementation of collective action- Enable young people to become aware of their belonging to a community of European citizens- Raise awareness among young people about environmental issues- Enable young people to develop life skillsThe project is based on active teaching methods and non- formal education. It will allow young people to be in an experimental situation and to acquire, by themselves and through interaction with other young people , essential life skills.It is expected among young improving empowerment, self-esteem , sense of initiative , foreign language skills , sensitivity to multiculturalism , a more active participation in society and better knowledge of Europe.Among the participating organizations , it is expected a better understanding of practices from one country to another in order to enrich its reflections and improve the quality of their actions and accompanying young people in their territories.
