DNL Millet Edinburgh

The Lycee Jean-François Millet, a Secondary School located in Cherbourg, north of the Cotentin peninsula in Normandy, has only recently introduced teaching History and Geography in English, part of the "European classes" schedule. The teacher in charge has volunteered to enhance his methodological expertise, to consolidate and gain new ideas and materials for use in the classroom, and to meet other European colleagues. The immersion course proposed by LFEE Europe in Edinburgh late July appears to meet these requirements. The expertise of the Scottish Education system in self evaluation is also of particular interest and much is expected in these matters. The experience and updated knowledge will benefit the students and be shared with colleagues (both English teachers and "Euro" teachers) in the high school, as well as, possibly, on a larger scale.
