Discrimination - and what you can do about it!

12 young people from Diyarbakir / Turkey met from 22 - 30.08.2015 12 youngsters from Hannover to focus on the topic of discrimination. During the youth exchange in Hannover, participants exchanged their own experiences about discrimination. They found out why discrimination is existing and visited organizations and projects that are promoting tolerance and are committed against different forms and reasons of discrimination. The participants are volunteer activists from JANUN (Hannover) and Youth and Change Organization (Diyarbakir), but also young people who are engaged against discrimination in other organizations in Diyarbakir and Hannover. In this way, the project aims where to link up initiatives from Diyarbakir and Hannover with each other and encourage new partnerships. During a creative day, participants developed under expert guidance video clips and a small series of postcards on different aspects of tolerance and discrimination. The postcards got printed and distributed later in Diyarbakir and Hannover. The video clips are going to be shown very soon in Hanover Local TV H1 and on various homepages of the involved organizations. In addition, the youth exchange was documented by the participants for the local TV-Station H1. Postcards, video clips, the television report are documented on a website theme and project. The Internet presentation is added by a description of the project and useful links.
