What does the rural development mean? Would anyone like to visit the village in the mountains and try to live as farmers? Are these areas interesting to somebody? Does the visiting villages by tourists influence the rural development? “I know about beautiful place where is no tourists but the nature is worth to see it! How should I promote it?” Answers to these questions will be found at youth exchange “Discover opportunities of rural development” in the wonderful area of Beskydy mountains. From 29. 7 – 5. 8. 2015 twenty-five participants comes from Czech republic, Cyprus, Croatia, Romania and Macedonia will be informed about opportunities in the area of rural tourism with positive impact on rural development. Participants will need to speak english, be between 18 – 25 years old and have a desire to get more knowledge about this topic. By using methods of non-formal education participants will gain knowledge about rural development in general, how to find potentional locality in their country for rural tourism and how to promote it. Also they will be in the role of tourists through visiting eco-farms in Beskydy and get to know the first feelings and understand better tourists needs. They will create a presentation about the unknown but worth to see areas in their countries which they will present at public event in the library. In the end of youth exchange they will present their short business plan in front of other participants. Each of day organizators will monitor the quality of the project by reflection groups. Benefits of the project will touch to participants, organizators and also local people. This youth exchange will support active citizenship through sharing information about Erasmus+. Participating in this youth exchange will help participants to think in context that one activity affects other things.
