Disabilities or Different Abilities?
Start date: May 1, 2012,

The Training Course "Disabilities or Different Abilities?" was implemented between 2nd and th July, 2012 in Limassol. It was a Training Course which gathered 20 participants to explore and analyze how they can enhance participation of people with different abilities (disability) in youth activities (Youth in Action activities). During the Training course the participants had the chance to analyze and discuss topics and issues such as sterotypes, challenges, social inclusion, active participation and citizenship prejudices and many more. Participants enhanced their skills and tools to support their own target groups, especially young people with fewer opportunities for integration (people with any disability). The project used new activities applied to people with difficult access and participation, to show new ways of how to encourage the participation of each and everyone of us. The project also highlighted the importance of involving more and more volunteers in organizations for purposes of social inclusion. The result as the evaluation showed was important for each participant and the organization that everyone represented.
