1. ICT FOR TEACHING: 11/07/2016 το 22/07/2016 . A practical course to incorporate Information Technology into Teaching (literacy, numeracy, science, etc.) Country of Destination: IRELAND Training venue: Institute of Public Administration (IPA), Dublin Duration (days): 10 training days Number of participants 3. ICT for teaching courses. Description: A structured course which provides participants with those necessary skills to apply ICT in the classroom and be able to use, exploit and develop ICT recourses . They are expected to access free educational software and to auquire strategies and skills which will allow them to handle image and sound , create digital storytelling make make extensive and smart use of a variety of tools, including among others Movie Making, Web 2.0, Social Networking, Blogging, ePortfolio, Wikis, Webquests, etc. These tools will support and enhance language, mathematics, science, etc. teaching and learning, through interdisciplinary inquiry and the use and creation of digital teaching resources. 2.CLIL 25/07/2016 to 05/08/2016. Content and Language Integrarted learning: A Course for Teachers of English as a Foreign Language Country of Destination: IRELAND. Training venue: Trinity College Dublin (TCD) ‐ Institute of Public Administration (IPA), Dublin. Duration (days): 10 training days Number of participants :1 Course for Teachers who would like to teach subjects in English (CLIL) through an Inquiry-based methodology. Combination of workshops, project work, excursions and social activities. Practical ideas for classroom management, lesson planning and materials development by using the Irish environment, folklore, sports, symbols, art, society, etc. Regular language focus on vocabulary, pronunciation and use of English to improve your skills in English. 3.STRUCTURED STUDY VISIT TO SCHOOLS/INSTITUTES & TRAINING SEMINAR for Teachers and other School Staff 23/04/2017 to 29/04/2017 Country of Destination: ICELAND Training venue: Reykjavik Duration (days): 7 training days (from Sunday to Saturday) Number of participants 2.Language of communication: English Structured Study Visit to Schools/Institutes & Training Seminar Study Visits can take place throughout the academic year from October to May. They are held for teachers with the aim of visiting and observing innovative teaching approaches and strategies, interacting with European staff and learning about other educational systems. It efficiently combines pedagogic visits to schools/institutes and structured training activities Oblectives -To guide teachers to the use of a range of ICT tools and how to integrate them into teaching and learning processes. - To reflect on how ICT can improve tudents’ learning and can help them to reach learning objectives within the curriculum. - To help teachers to design and implement motivating activities for their students by using ICT within a new framework of multiliteracies and critical literacy principles. - To help partιcipants enhance their knowledge in English. -To help them apply a number of socio -cultural elements in their teaching of English as a foreign lαnguage. -To help teachers to develop their skills (specially their oral fluency, vocabulary and pronunciation) and improve their use of English as a means of communication in class and in everyday situations. -Τo help teachers improve their English and participate in further Erasmus+ courses and/or partnerships Impact -To develop teachers' communicative competences- To raise teachers awareness of being European citizens and teachers, of differences and similarities that they share-To build future partnerships -To achieve an enhanced picture of our country and of other counties through future partnerships -To provide an insight and a sound pedagogical framework on the strategies and the tools to implement CLIL in a language environment.-To motivate teachers for professional development, such as postgraduate studies and enhance lifelong learning.-To present and discuss the Greek educational system, compare it with the educational system of the destination countries.
