There are three sectors today that form a niche market with high potential in the cross-border area: wound care (wound dressings, immobilisation, etc.), consumables for biologic cultures and filtration (ultra-filtering membranes, growing media, growth supports, etc.) and implants (orthopaedic implants and implants for soft tissue surgery).As the sales of these markets are expected to increase by 6 to 25% a year, the DIMETEX project aims at federating the cross-border competence pools and to get the maximum out of these high potential sectors.The target companies are traditional SMEs (knitters, weavers) that want to differentiate and develop in the health sector, and the SMEs already active in these markets that want to diversify.
