The Gifted Centre İzmit Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi is the school in which gifted education is taught for gifted students based on the Ministry of National Education. It has 180 students, 20 teachers and 14 classrooms. It's the single institution for gifted students at the Ministry of National Education in Kocaeli. It aims to have the gifted students gain more conscious education and training program by increasing the competences of professional education of the teachers at the school. In this regard, it requires to take the advantage of the experiences of developed countries in the field because the education for giftedness in our country is relatively less than the others. It is essential to participate in the conference titled 'The Giftedness in The Digital Age' in Slovenia to be qualified concerning professional competence and to be more prolific for our students. The technology has been improving rapidly and it influences the life style of people. This improvement is seen through the digital technology in our century the most . Our students need this technology as a matter of course. The importance of the project is understood one more time in this respect. Far more experiences and training are required for education in terms of using technology . The products of the conference in Slovenia will provide advantages for our school. At first, these products will be used both for the students and their parents. At the end of the conference, our school is aimed at gaining a 'European Level of Education' through international modern education. In addition, a new web site by two languages 'Turkish and English' and games developing intelligence in the digital platform will be created to support the education of gifted students at school. It is intended to implement the development strategy of gifted education in a sustainable and wider sphere of process after the conference. The number of the participants will be 10. Each participant has more than 3 years of 'Gifted Education' experience. They will be decided by the 'Selection Committee' whether she/he could integrate the adaptable curriculum into her/his class, the development plan of the school and her/his experiences. The Aims of the Project: 1. It is aimed at participating in the activities as follows: a. The Presentations of the Abstract: Individual papers will be grouped into larger sessions by theme. b. Posters: Posters will be displayed, and the formal sessions will be organised for the participants of the conference to share with the teachers. c. Practical demonstrations relating to teaching-research tools and methods in ICT, music, dance, theatre, painting, photography, video, art and other forms in the field will be exhibited. 2. The data which have been learnt after the conference will be disseminated for the other schools in the city through seminar and presentations. 3. Professional experiences of the project result will be shared, notably the gifted education about the digital communication, through 'the tele conference and internet forums' with the teachers at gifted centres of the other cities called 'Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi'. It is planned to adapt the method and techniques learnt by experiences to the students through 'Before-During-After Learning' and 'Project Based Learning'.
