The project 'Digital Storytelling made easy as 1-2-3-NEW Dates' at Daugavpils Basic School No.11 starts on 1 August 2016 and finishes 31 July 2017. Ten teachers of our school are responsible for Development Plan's aims achievement. Our school during one years is planning to fulfill one mobility. The project will deal with professional quality development of the staff and school development.The aims of the project:- study and improve English language knowledge;- experience a range of innovative activities;- introduce an awareness of new technology and digital storytelling usage;- develop diversity of European cultures by raising awareness of values.Ten teachers (a director, an assistant director, 8 primary school teachers) will be responsible for the quality of improvement in education and in European dimension of school. They were selected by the school management team according to their professional development.The teachers are going to visit the training course 'Digital Storytelling made easy as 1-2-3-NEW Dates in Malta, which is proposed by 'AcrossLimits' The training session will be theoretical and practical. Expected results: - English language skills improvement;- development of teaching skills;- awareness of digital storytelling usage;- developed and enriched knowledge on diversity of European cultures and values.Expected impact on the participating teachers: - effective teaching using innovative methods;- greater inter-cultural awareness and appreciation values and cultures of other European countries; - improvement of teachers’ English language skills;- positive effects on teachers about Erasmus + possibilities.- a better understanding of digital storytelling usage in the classroom.- European school partnerships establishment.Impact on participation organisation:- creation of modern and professional environment inside the organisation;- integration of new methods into daily activities using modern technologies;- cooperation with EU organisations; - the professional development of staff; - integration of European awareness and diversity of European cultures.Impact on students: - to increase students' interest, knowledge and respect to European countries;- to motivate students in learning; - to intergrate students with special needs into society, to help them to work in a team, be able to plan, realize and evaluate their work;- to develop students abilities and skills. Potential long-lasting effect: developing of understanding, self-empowerment, self-esteem, communicative skills, thinking positively, strengthen teacher's profession.
