Digital Media Stack training for youth work practitioners - BRADOG

Digitial Media Stack Training for Youth Work Practitioners is a training workshop appliedd for under Action 4.3 The aim of the training is to give a variety of media production, facilitation and project management skills to practitioners working face-to-face with young people and to increase their capacity to undertake youth-in-action projects involving digital media. By using the 'stack' of media exercises in various arrangements youth workers can 'tailor' the media experience based on their knowledge of the young person's needs, capacity and interests.The methodology will be based on non-formal learning and will involve group work, team based tasks and participant led activities. The training will focus in particular on (1) media techniques developed by Bradog in partnership with the Empower Media Network (2) process-based group facilitation skills and (3) skills needed to develop projects under Action 1 of the YiA programme. The nine-day workshop will take place in Dublin in January 2009. The thirty-five participants will be youth workers from Ireland, Finland, Norway, Belgium, Portugal, Sweden, Lithuania, Italy, France, Denmark and Turkey.
