EN Project title: DIFERENT?! (People laugh because I’m DIFERENT. I laugh because they are all the SAME) It is a continuous youth exchange. Target group: – 5 mentally disabled youngsters (age 20-30) and 2 non disabled youngsters (age 20-30) and 3 project leader. All together 10 people from each of the partner country Participating countries and organizations: Lithuania Jaunuoliu dienos centras, Spain Associació Alba. The project idea was designed by intellectually disabled youngsters who constantly have a lot of questions about their identity. The general project aim: to help intellectually disabled youth to understand and experience their culture and history; similarities and differences; one’s strengths and weaknesses. The project motto: the best prediction for the FUTURE is the PAST The Project activities: Preparation stage – May 2015. The moto for the preparation stage is flexibility: everyone is free to express opinions, each idea is welcome and all decisions will be made by mutual agreement. APV -Advantage Planning Visit – Lithuania 1-4 Jun, 2015. Implementation stage – Jun – October, 2015. • I st MOBILITY - Lithuania, 7-11September, 2015. • II nd MOBILITY – Spain 5-9 October, 2015 The moto of the project implementation stage – to give space to each participant to participate, experiment, create, to have fun and to learn in non traditional ways. These 2 mobilities will be an integral part of the same purpose and aime and related to the same topic. The same participants will participate in both mobilities. The duration of one mobility – 5 days excluding travel days. We will have different topics each day. Follow –up stage – November, 2015. The moto of this stage - to change public opinion and show that disabled young people are able. We believe that: •all of us will get experience that will help us in everyday life: youth – better social skills; youth leaders- new methodology and new working methods; •we will make other projects in the future and it will be projects of better quality and bigger added value; •we will make strong partnerships between countries, professionals and disabled youth that continue long after the project end; •we will change public opinion and show that disabled young people are able. •project results presented to the local and international communities during and after the project will have impact to future outlook processes related to mentally disabled youth.
