Background / history project:As previously mentioned International Accounting Standards are a challenge for all companies on an international scale and is made from the imperative need of the economic community for more transparency and reliability for a single capital market.With the application of International Accounting Standards in Greek businesses uniformity is ensured in the financial statements and an opportunity is given for the comparison between Greek companies and similar companies abroad.Their essential contribution is to strengthen the information and the credibility of published financial information. The information provided by the financial statements of companies is a valuable tool for the authorities, financial analysts, regulators, institutional investors.This will positively affect the competitiveness of businesses.This project aims at a detailed presentation and practical application through examples of the main international standards as adopted by Law. 4308/2014a.Objectives of the project:The objective of this project is the training of the members of our Association, in order to improve their expertise on the International Accounting Standards, to enable them and their businesses and to meet the new needs created.With the knowledge they will gain they will then be able to act as mentors for other employees of the site.Number and profile of participants:Potential beneficiaries on the mobility are 20 people and all of them are accountants and tax advisors who are members of our Association.Description of activities:Participants will follow a similar training program that is tailored to their educational needs and will include training sessions, company visits and cultural visits.The activities will take place in the United Kingdom (England), and mostly in London (Harrow-Outer London) and at the premises of the ADC COLLEGE.Methodology used for the project:The completion of this project will contribute to improve the knowledge of participants on accounting and methods of training issues for adult education will be followed with particular emphasis on the connection of theoretical knowledge with International Accounting Standards (International Accounting Standards - IAS) ie the accounting practices in the form of laws in which Greek companies are required by law to be harmonized after a Community Directive in order to have the best results.Brief description of the expected results and impact:The expected results are training employees to improve their expertise on accounting, to expand their professional skills and to facilitate their personal development and their participation in both the domestic and European labour market.Possible long-term benefits:After completion of the project the participants will have gained multiple benefits relating to the improvement of their expertise in international accounting standards (International Accounting Standards - IAS).But mainly this action will have a multiplier effect and benefits for the participants, as it would create the framework for networking and future cooperation and for stakeholders who will establish a new cooperation in European programs.This gives added value to the action because it creates an environment where besides the development of skills and acquisition of new knowledge for the beneficiaries, it promotes a European environment of cooperation.The Host Organization is college ADC COLLEGE and is based in the United Kingdom (London).The country selection was based on the fact that the Host organisation is engaged in the research, transfer of innovation and the development of European and international programs and provides high quality training in this subject area.The proposal has taken into account all the conditions set by the European Charter for Mobility.
