Context This project is addressed to a very important area of professional training and makes a significant contribution in meeting the need of nurse’s training on national and local level according to the European standards. Annually, from Oltenia region some hundred nurses go to work in UE. They have some adaption difficulties regarding professional and linguistic matters. As well, the need of European sanitary units are superior those in Romania and in this way it appears the need of supplementary practice to achieve the European standards. The project "Clinical Stages – the absolute priority for the development of professional and personal skills and competencies specific to nurses in the European space" aims to achieve specific nursing standards so that the second year 40 students qualifying for General Nurse to perform a high clinical training to comply with the approved curricula modules by OMECT 2713\/29.11.2007 and specific competencies. The training period will take 5 weeks in a medical institution in Italy, Clinica Villa dei Gerani, between 1st of June 2015 - 5th of July 2015 Conducting a clinical training in a European sanitary unit forms the future nurses who will be able to adapt to another European space of work and to apply the specific competences required by nursing and to the new challenges of modern medical technology in any area of a hospital, both in adults and children's sections, and last but not least in the care of elderly people who are suffering of various diseases, lack of communication and loneliness. The importance of a clinical training in another European country is also doubled by the development of language skills, knowledge of cultural traditions, specific habits to a region or a country, taking into account that patients in need of medical care are of different religions and ethnicities, which must be observed and that they together with the medical professional care and a proper communication and a therapy of the psyche can most often improve patients’ general condition giving the patients more confidence in the quality of the medical act. In this project, we want to attain these goals: 1. The improvement of competence and abilities according to the new technologies of an advanced sanitary system 2. Using the modern medical technologies on European standards 3. Efficiently communication with the patient and the nursing team by developing linguistic competence 4. Integration and adaptability on European labor market 5. Forming an appropriate attitudes towards work and becoming conscious of the responsibility that medical process involves 6. Enriching historical, geographical and cultural knowledge aiming the integration and adaptation on social and professional environment Foreseen impact The experience of the internship’s participants will be beneficial to the others students. This will get an extra motivation to a better professional training, which will increase their hiring chances. Beneficies: At the end of the 150 hours of clinical training, participants will be able to work in different health units in any European country because they have realized that the knowledge acquired both at school and in practice in the hospital, will help them to adapt to any medical team and work with an instrumentation and modern technology.
