Développer les situations authentiques de communication
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jun 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our plan is to bring our students to live in various situationsusing English language. It will be based on the participation of our candidate in your training and on the already entitled teachers in our school to provide a good quality ot teaching English within small groups of pupils. Working on simple projects adapted to young learners helps motivate both pupils and teachers. We want not only to open our school to the world, especially the United Kingdom and the English-speaking countries but also to promote knowledge and understanding of other ways of life. This cultural enrichment will be supplemented by regular practice in oral English language. Thus, at an early age, our pupils can learn rhymes and traditional English songs, count the children in the class, say the date, the weather, identify through photographs the monuments of London , name and taste traditional dishes ( jelly, fish and chips ...) , listen to authentic recorded dialogues , identify transports like left-hand driving, double-deckers, londonian taxis ... Every children participate in the English Day(wearing a uniform chosen by the team, timetable and activities inspired by the British educational system, ... ) . This event takes place every year during the stay of the English assistant in our school. The reading and understanding of an English story book adapted to the level of the pupils may be extended with an artistic work. For the children of cycle 3, a pen friend project will be launched with a British school in order to strengthen their language skills through new communication technologies (Internet) . The promotion of foreign languages, and especially English, in our school strengthens the involvement of the children and opens our school to the world. We hope to improve the dynamism of our school.
